Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s on-again/off-again romance may finally have come to an end, according to reports.
The couple, nicknamed Bennifer, first began dating in 2001, with Oscar winner Ben proposing in 2002 with a massive pink diamond engagement ring. However, they called off their wedding just days before the ceremony in 2004 and split for good months later, leaving fans devastated. Nearly 20 years later, Ben and Jennifer were spotted on a date in the Hamptons in 2021, and by summer 2022, they had finally tied the knot.
Their love story, resembling a Hollywood movie, has recently faced speculation about their relationship’s stability. Reports suggest that Bennifer may have called it quits, as sources told In Touch that Ben has already moved out of their family home. Jennifer has also been spotted without her husband, adding to the rumors of an impending divorce.
The couple had moved into a massive £47.4 million ($60 million) mansion in Beverly Hills in May last year. This lavish estate, complete with a cinema, wine room, whiskey lounge, and a 5,000-sq-ft sports facility featuring a boxing ring and basketball court, was meant to be the perfect family home for their blended family. Ben shares Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while JLo shares twins Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony.
Sources claim that Ben has already left the home he shared with Jennifer, who has been house-hunting around Beverly Hills with a friend. “They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted,” an insider added.
Jennifer has frequently been seen without Ben in recent weeks, including her solo appearance at the Met Gala, which fueled split rumors. At the event, she wore a stunning Schiaparelli gown that highlighted her slim figure and was called “rude” for brushing off a reporter’s question about her gown’s designer.
Jennifer was also seen house hunting with a friend earlier this week and heading to a dance studio in Los Angeles without Ben. She was absent when Ben attended The Roast of Tom Brady on May 5, where he mocked his close friend Tom Brady. The last time the couple was spotted together was at Cecconi’s in New York, where onlookers noted a strained atmosphere during their lunch. During their recent trip to St Barts, they were seen having a tense discussion, with Ben reportedly looking agitated.
