The event took place at Arlington National Cemetery, where Biden laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
This incident has drawn attention amid the anticipated presidential rematch between Biden, 81, and Donald Trump, 77, who has previously labeled Biden “Sleepy Joe.” However, Trump himself faced accusations of dozing off during his hush money trial in Manhattan, which he denied on his Truth Social platform.
The 48-second clip, shared on X by conservative-leaning accounts, including one named ‘1776,’ features a close-up of Biden during the Memorial Day ceremony. An unidentified woman’s voice in the video comments on Biden’s apparent state, saying, “Look Biden’s sleeping. His eyes have been closed for about 30 seconds,” and questions whether the media will report on it.
The ‘1776’ account, which displays early American flag imagery and an artist’s impression of Trump as its cover photo, criticized the media in its post, stating: “The amount of c*** Trump got about sitting in court, we will never see this in the media, this guy is sleeping in Memorial Day.
