Joe Biden didn’t think talking to a reporter would he this funny. The President was taking questions from the press pool on Thursday as he was walking to a waiting helicopter. He was in the South Lawn when Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy decided to ask him a question.
Peter would be interrupted by Biden who would say “Why do you think I’ll always take your questions?”. Doocy replied stating “It’s a good one! I’ve got two good ones!” Peter asked about national discourse on abortion access and then switched it to the recent New York Times poll that shows Biden losing to Donald Trump in many crucial states in the 2024 election.
Mediaite reports that Biden said “You don’t read the polls, obviously!” He talked about why he was trailing, and even talked about other polls that show him winning in the swing states. It’s worth noting that Biden has been asked questions in this regard on multiple occasions. He has been answering them well, but it needs to be seen if this will help him. The race for 2024 elections is underway and everyone’s aiming for the post as Commander in Chief.
