Cody Rhodesreceived the opportunity of a lifetime when he went head to head with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 Night Two for the highly coveted titles. The stakes were high, but unfortunately for The American Nightmare, he was unable to finish his story on the grandest stage of them all. Nevertheless, the wrestling world was buzzing with excitement when Rhodes recently revealed that he will address his future on an upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW.
Earlier this year, Rhodes made his triumphant return to the company and secured a spot at WrestleMania 39 by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The audience was on the edge of their seats when he faced off against Reigns, but ultimately, the championship belts remained out of his grasp. Adding insult to injury, Brock Lesnar took Rhodes out on the RAW following WrestleMania 39.
Fans were heartbroken to see Rhodes fall short and then get viciously attacked by The Beast Incarnate. Today, The American Nightmare broke his silence regarding his future following the events of WrestleMania 39 and RAW. In a message to his supporters, Rhodes acknowledged the disappointment of his loss, but also expressed his appreciation for the opportunity and the support he has received.
“A long week. I know last Sunday was not the result I’d hoped for, and I know many fans were disappointed as well. I make no excuses. I lost. I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you how much I enjoyed the ride…until Sunday night, and furthermore Monday night.”
