Bray Wyatt Breaks Silence On AEW Debut Rumor

The former WWE star Bray Wyatt(now going by the real name Windham) was shockingly released by WWE last year amid the budget cuts. He is currently taking his time off pro-wrestling and trying out his luck in acting. Billi Bhatti recently spoke about Wyatt.

Billi Bhatti and Vince Russo spoke to Bray Wyatt

Bhatti said on The Wrestling Informer podcast that he and Vince Russo spoke to Bray Wyatt after he was released by WWE.

“Me and [Vince] Russo were talking to Wyatt, he said after he left he wasn’t going to go anywhere for wrestling, he was going to go into acting.”

Wyatt has been part of several high-profile matches including against the WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. They had squared off at Crown Jewel 2020. The former WWE star EC3 recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet about the match when “The Fiend,” Bray Wyatt lost the Universal title to Goldberg in under three minutes.

When Wyatt lost, EC3 realized that no matter what he did in WWE, it wouldn’t matter. If ‘The Fiend’ lost on a big stage against a part-time wrestler, nothing he’d do would work.

Praising Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda) and his creativity, the former IMPACT World Champion said:

“Windham and he has a super creative mind. I know how much he put into creating that character. That was so outside the box, so impressive and so not WWE. It caught on like wildfire and everyone was into it.”

He added that The Fiend character started “diluting”:

“To watch him put his heart and soul into it and it’s, like, ‘Let’s have Goldberg beat him in 3 minutes.’ At that moment, I knew whatever I did, it wouldn’t matter. If that didn’t work, then what will?”
