Brian Kemp took to Twitter and commented on a video that exposed Donald Trump as a fraud, as he explained how Trump led the opposition to Kemp’s decision to reopen Georgia was an indication of Trump’s failure.
The fact is former president Trump led the opposition to my decision to reopen Georgia – the first state in the country to do so.
While he listened to Fauci & parroted media talking points, I listened to hardworking Georgians.
He may not remember, but I sure as hell do. https://t.co/8eWPidlnfP

MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend has come to the defense of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who has faced criticism and second-guessing for her prosecution of former President Donald Trump on election-related charges in Georgia. Many have questioned the scope of the case and the legal theory behind it, leading to skepticism from both Republicans and others.
Symone Sanders-Townsend, on her MSNBC show, pushed back against these critics and called for respect to be given to DA Willis and her track record of accomplishments. She highlighted the pressure DA Willis has faced from House Republicans and judges in her own state.
Symone Sanders-Townsend quoted DA Willis’s response to House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, where Willis defended her authority and expertise in handling the case. She pointed out that DA Willis has an extensive record in her nearly 20 years as a prosecutor, including leading over a hundred jury trials and specializing in RICO cases. She also successfully prosecuted a significant case involving a cheating scandal in the Atlanta Public School System.
Moreover, Symone Sanders-Townsend emphasized that DA Willis’s office had maintained a conviction rate close to 90 percent, highlighting her ability to bring cases that she believes she can win.
Symone Sanders-Townsend questioned why DA Willis was being portrayed as inexperienced or overwhelmed when she has a proven track record in her field. She also pointed out the disparity in scrutiny between DA Willis and Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is also prosecuting the former president but has faced less scrutiny.
