AEW Star Britt Baker recently had an interview with Busted Open Radio where she discussed a number of wrestling-related things and also commented on AEW going head to head with NXT in what is being dubbed as the Wednesday Night Wars.
Britt is publically known to be in a relationship with the current NXT Champion Adam Cole. With NXT competing with AEW’s show, segments featuring these two stars are also expected to clash with each other.
When asked about such scenario and who will people watch if the couple goes against each other, Baker said that everybody is going to watch her live because people can catch up with NXT on WWE Network too:
Everybody’s going to watch me live and they can watch him the next night on the WWE Network. We’re in the Wednesday Night Wars House. The thing with us is we don’t really get involved in a us vs them mentality. It’s a friendly competition. They are on the WWE Network you can watch them whenever but we are live and fresh so you gotta go with AEW.
The AEW Star also talked about Brandi Rhodes and Kenny Omega’s vision about the company’s Women’s Division and revealed that Kenny’s involvement was an influence for her to join the promotion.
NXT will be airing on TV on USA Network starting from September 18th while AEW’s TV show is expected to debut on TNT on October 2nd.
