Popular actor Bruce Willis made headlines earlier this year after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Besides his acting career, the former actor’s marriage life was also a great topic of discussion. The fans were shocked after Willis split with Demi Moore after a prolonged married life of more than 11 years.
Bruce Willis noted that the split with Moore was one of the lowest points of his life. The duo tied the knot in 1987 and looked forward to a happy married life until their relationship was plagued with problematic issues resulting in a separation in 2000. Following that, Willis had to go through a rough patch of time before he met Emma Heming.
When Bruce Willis thought that he was not made for love, Emma Heming came as a surprise to the 68-year-old actor’s life. After the duo married in 2009, it looked like the actor finally saw a hopeful light in his life as he never missed a chance to speak highly about her.
In an interview with W magazine, the Hudson Hawk actor acknowledged how Emma Heming picked him up from the dark and changed his perspective on love.
“I went from ‘F— love’ to ‘Love is truly the answer.’ I spent the last 10 years single and, for the most part, unhappy. In a dark place. I never thought that being with someone else was the answer. I would say, ‘I’m alone, but I’m not lonely.’ But I was just kidding myself.”
Willis met Emma Heming in 2007 and as per the couple, it was an instant connection. While Emma Heming praised the former actor as extremely handsome and funny, the latter was already in love with her. Bruce Willis admitted that due to Heming, his life turned extremely happy-
“Then I started hanging around Emma, and on a day-to-day basis my life became much happier.”
The Pulp Fiction actor also welcomed two children with Emma Heming. Recently Bruce Willis’ beloved also added how she has been a care partner to her husband who is suffering from frontotemporal dementia. She gave a message to her fans that it is important to look after ourselves if we want to take care of others-
“When we are not looking after ourselves, we are no good to the people we love who we want to show up for and take care of.”
