Emma Heming Willis took to Instagram on Thursday, March 21, to commemorate her 15th wedding anniversary with Bruce Willis, just days after celebrating his 69th birthday. Sharing a heartfelt message alongside an intimate photo, Emma expressed her love and gratitude for her husband amid his battle with Frontotemporal dementia.
In the touching post, Emma reflected on their union, highlighting their enduring connection, their two daughters, and the strong family bond they share. She affectionately referred to their relationship as a “remarkable reframe,” choosing to celebrate their love and the life they’ve built together.
“Today marks our 15th wedding anniversary! And today, I can make a choice. I can wallow in sorrow or I can celebrate it,” Emma wrote. “I call this the “remarkable reframe.” What I know is there is so much to celebrate.”
She continued, “Our union and connection is probably stronger than ever. We have two bright, fun and healthy daughters. We have a family unit that is built on mutual respect and admiration. And simply, I just love and adore the man I married. I’m so proud of what we have and continue to create. So, happy crystal anniversary to us!”
The couple first met in 2007 at their mutual trainer’s gym and soon began dating. Recalling their initial encounter, Emma expressed her admiration for Bruce’s charm, humor, and undeniable charisma. Bruce, equally smitten, confessed his love for Emma from the start.
They exchanged vows on March 21, 2009, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, followed by a civil ceremony in Beverly Hills six days later. Together, they are parents to two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, while Emma is also a stepmother to Bruce’s three elder daughters from his previous marriage to Demi Moore.
Bruce, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February 2023, received an outpouring of love from his family on his recent birthday. Emma, in particular, expressed her admiration for Bruce’s gentle and loving nature, emphasizing the enduring gift of his presence in their lives.
