Candace Owens recently commented on the alleged sexual assault incident involving the former UFC Double Champion Conor McGregor.
TMZ reported that they have obtained video footage of former UFC Double Champion Conor McGregor and the alleged sexual abuse victim heading into what appears to be a bathroom at the Kaseya Center.
The Irishman was in attendance to watch the NBA finals showdown between Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets. It has been noted that the alleged victim accused McGregor of sexual abuse and had also implicated the Miami Heat and NBA staff of aiding the Irishman.
In her statement, released through attorney Ariel Mitchell yesterday, the woman alleged that she had been forced into the men’s bathroom at the arena by the Miami Heat security staff before McGregor attempted to force her to have oral sex with him.
McGregor’s legal team denied all allegations. The latest footage, obtained by TMZ, shows the woman being led by the hand into the bathroom not by Miami Heat security staff, as she had initially alleged, but by Conor McGregor. The initial statement had also claimed that she was forcibly transported into the bathroom without her will.
Candace Owens opens up on the matter
Amidst the ongoing situation, American conservative commentator Candace Owens has expressed her skepticism regarding the alleged victim’s story through a series of tweets. Owens has shared her thoughts on the matter, casting doubt on the credibility of the victim’s account:
“If you believe that Conor McGregor attempted to r*pe a woman, but then she ‘elbowed him and escaped’. You are an absolute idiot. In what fiction world does a female elbow take out Conor McGregor? Her attorney should have advised her to deeply reconsider that narrative.”
She added:
“FYI—The woman in this narrative is already changing her story. She at first said she was forced into the bathroom by his security, but now that video has been released debunking this claim she admits she went willingly. NBA finals, cameras everywhere—how could she be so daft?”
