Carmella took to her Instagram account and wished her real-life best friend Bayley on her birthday. The former dropped a series of pictures. One of them saw the two stars lying on their respective beds. Carmella also captioned the post with a heartfelt note: “Happy happy birthday do one of my best friends in the whole wide world. Bayley, I can’t believe we’ve been annoying people together for NINE years now. Through all the miles and time apart, our friendship never wavers. I don’t know what I’d do without you… my Spammy! I hope you have the BEST day. Sorry your mom won’t be there to celebrate with you today, she’s got her hands full over here”
The Role Model suffered a knee injury in July 2021 while training at the Performance Center. She was scheduled to take on Bianca Belair in a SmackDown Women’s title match at Money In The Bank 2021. It was announced added that she would be out of action for about nine months due to her injury. ‘The Role Model’ seemingly revealed the exact spot that resulted in her knee injury last year.
In her latest Instagram story, Bayley shared a WWE Network video of a spot from her Hell in a Cell match against Bianca Belair. The 20-minute hard-fought battle ended with Belair retaining her SmackDown Women’s title via pinfall.
During the closing moments of the match, The EST of WWE and former WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair executed a KOD on The Role Model on a ladder, and this was enough for the pin. Bayley’s Instagram story suggests that this was the moment her knee was injured.
