Jericho initially donated $5,000 and misspelled his name. He donated another $5,000 with the correct spelling. Click here if you would like to donate. It has been noted that the donations have boosted after Hamlin collapsed on the field during Monday Night Football. According to reports, CPR was administered for several minutes and he is hospitalized in critical condition.

Jericho is currently listed as the top donor and the total amount donated by everyone is well over $2 million as of this writing. As we’ve written about before, Jericho has donated to many great causes.

Damar Hamlin’s family has released a statement after the 24-year-old Buffalo Bills safety collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest on the field at a Monday night game.

“On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time,” the statement read. “We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans around the country.”

The statement was released on Twitter via Hamlin’s friend Jordan Rooney. The family also thanked the first responders and health care team that are caring for the NFL player at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

“We feel so blessed to be part of the Buffalo Bills organization and to have their support. We also want to thank Coach Taylor and the Bengals for everything they’ve done,” the statement goes on. “Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us.”
The statement does not provide an update on Hamlin’s condition, but says they “will release updates as soon as we have them.”
