There were rumors online that the great Bobby Heenan had passed away recently. That is not the case. Gene Okerlund posted this on Facebook to shoot down the rumors:
“Bobby Heenan is very much alive. I’ll be seeing him and his loving wife in a couple of weeks. Heenan is one man that fans loved to hate. And that’s a good thing.”
Heenan was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2002 and had reconstructive surgery on his jaw in 2007. Heenan still makes appearances at Legend shows.
