CM Punk ‘Rejects’ Surprising Money Offer

CM Punk has turned down selling his wrestling gear, he told WrestleZone in a new interview.

“I just never sold any of my gear, because I think that’s strange. I wore trunks which are essentially underwear. Like, I’m not selling my Speedo to some weirdo fan boy on the internet. I don’t care how much money they’re offering, because I just feel weird about that.”

“I have everything from my career. I may or may not have a few things of Ricky Rabies, I don’t know. I’ll just say allegedly, or maybe, I might have a rat or two. You’ll have to watch the show to know what I’m talking about. I do have a Ricky Rabies shirt that the crew graciously gave me and I wear it proudly. I got some Ricky Rabies stickers too. Ricky is a big merch guy. He was selling stickers and t-shirts at intermission.”

Punk told Sunday Night’s Main Event about AEW owner Tony Khan and their 2019 conversation, “Yeah, I talked to Tony. My perspective on this and I said this to Tony, to his face. I am the guy who has constantly heard, ‘hey I got a money guy, hey I got TV.’ I’ve heard that at least once or twice a year for 15-20 years in my wrestling career. I’ve gotten bounced checks from those gentlemen. You watched it happen, especially after ECW folded, it was everybody was restarting ECW. Everybody was going to use the ECW guys. There was a dude named John Collins who did time in prison for bouncing checks.

It always seems like somebody is…’oh we’re going to start a start-up and we’re going to compete with Vince.’ I always thought that came from a bad spot because if you want to start a pro wrestling company I think you should always focus on yourself. So I more or less took a wait-and-see approach. I wasn’t nor am I not interested in pro wrestling in that respect.”
