The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is yet again embroiled in a feud with The Bloodline and this week’s SmackDown saw the debut of Jacob Fatu, who brutally assaulted Rhodes. It has now come to light that after Fatu’s attack, ‘The American Nightmare’ suffered serious injuries.
It was on the June 21st episode of Friday Night SmackDown that Jacob Fatu made his shocking debut. He wreaked havoc on Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. Despite Rhodes’ valiant efforts to fight back, he was overpowered by Fatu’s raw strength and aggression.
Fatu ended his wrath by brutally putting Rhodes through the announcer’s desk with a huge splash from the top rope and confirmed his alliance with Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline, making it clear he is here to destroy Rhodes.
Following his match against Shinsuke Nakamura at a WWE live event in Bloomington, The American Nightmare confirmed that he suffered two broken ribs as a result of Jacob Fatu’s attack. Rhodes was also taped to show off that he was injured.
”The loyal WWE fans saw what happened on SmackDown. So, before you hear from anybody else, a little scoop for you Bloomington. Last night I did break two of my ribs.”
