Conor McGregor ‘Rips Off’ Tyson Fury In Photo

Obviously Conor McGregor’s ‘infamous’ fight against Dustin Poirier did not go the way he planned as he broke his leg in the opening minutes of the very first round. However, had McGregor been able to have gotten the better of Poirier, we would have more than likely seen quite the spectacle afterward. Conor McGregor was ‘confronted’ by this Khabib fan in new video

It’s being reported that during the fight, Conor McGregor was wearing a mouthpiece featuring the likeness of the Brazilian flag. This is very notable for two reasons. Firstly, because had McGregor won, he would have used the mouthpiece as an opportunity to call out UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveir.

As Chisanga Malata of SunSport explained via Twitter: “Just saw that Conor McGregor had a Brazil mouthguard in for his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. No doubt he was gonna cut a promo and call out the cageside Charles Oliveira had he got the better of Dustin.”

Secondly, this is very similar to a stunt that Tyson Fury pulled last year against Detonay Wilder when Fury wore a mouthpiece sporting the likeness of Nigeria in order to gather the attention of Anthony Joshua.

In other news featuring McGregor, during a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Dan Hardy discussed the future of Mystic Mac’s career in the world of combat sports. Credit to the outlet for the below.  Conor McGregor recently revealed this ‘crazy’ Mike Tyson threat.

“I think he heals up and he regroups,” Hardy said of McGregor. “We’re seeing him be rather reactive on social media, which I don’t think is a good look for him, and I think he’ll know that if he looks back in hindsight, but what his injury has done is it’s forced him to slow down.

“I think he’s desperate to get back in there and to leave people with a better impression of what he’s capable of,” Hardy continued. “I do think he’s capable of so much more as well. The difficulty that he has right now is to bring the right people around him that are going to really push his game forward. We already know what he’s very good at, but he needs a couple of different angles and a couple of different looks. He needs a few more weapons, so he can then bolster the ones that he’s already got. Hopefully this time that he’s got to sit with a cast on his leg will give him time to think and figure that out. There’s no way he disappears after an ankle break. I think we’ll probably see at least four or five more fights out of him. Maybe a couple more in the UFC, then he’ll cross over to boxing.”
