Daniel Bryan Talks WWE Not Clearing Him, His Father’s Death, CM Punk’s Departure

Three-time WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan had a Q&A session at Wizard World Chicago in Rosemont last night (Aug. 20, 2015). Bryan spoke on a number of topics including WWE not clearing him to compete, his father’s death, and CM Punk’s exit from the WWE.

Below are the Q&A highlights:

  • Bryan said he has no idea when or if he will return to the ring. He’s been training for his comeback, but doesn’t know if WWE will clear him.
  • He mentioned his father’s death and how it was one the most difficult things he’s had to deal with. He said he would talk to his father a lot about the Seattle Seahawks.
  • When CM Punk was brought up, Bryan said it’s a shame that Punk no longer has a passion for the business and how he would’ve like to face him at Wrestlemania.
  • One of the names pitched to Bryan for his finisher was “The Crusher” as a tribute to Conor Michalek. The “Knee Plus” was also thrown in as an idea.
