Last week on Friday Night Smackdown, pro wrestling veteran Daniel Bryan stated that WrestleMania 37 could be his last. It has been known for a long time that Bryan wants to retire from pro wrestling but perhaps that might not be happening anytime soon.
Roman Reigns will be defending his WWE Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane. The match will have either Jey Uso or Edge as the special enforcer. It is to be noted that Bryan defeating Reigns for the title is not that likely.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Daniel Bryan would only retire if he decides to leave WWE this year, as his contract is up, which would also free him up to go to AEW if he chooses.
Bryan said that this very well could be his last WrestleMania. Unless he’s letting his contract run out at the end of this year and leaving, I don’t see any way that’s possible, because even a part-time Bryan would be part of as Mania show for years to come. But he said if this is his last one, and he never actually said for sure it was, he’s giving it everything he’s got to be in the main event.
