DeSantis Team Drops Bombshell After Trump’s Dropout Rumor

The office of Ron DeSantis, a prominent Republican contender in the race for the presidency, has vehemently dismissed recent rumors sparked by none other than former President Donald Trump. Trump’s claim, made through a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, suggested that DeSantis was contemplating a withdrawal from the presidential race to instead vie for a Senate seat in Florida. This allegation arrived on the heels of a heated exchange between Trump and DeSantis following the first Republican presidential debate.

In his provocative post, Trump alluded to swirling political whispers that portrayed DeSantis’ presidential campaign as faltering, citing purported plummeting poll numbers that relegated him to third or fourth place in some states. Trump’s speculative commentary also hinted at the possibility of DeSantis pivoting to challenge Rick Scott for a Senate position in Florida. The former president’s post quickly gained traction on social media platforms, prompting engagement from public figures like Ben Shapiro, who questioned the veracity of the claims.

Bryan Griffin, the press secretary for Ron DeSantis, promptly countered Trump’s assertions with a resolute statement posted on Twitter. Labeling the news as “fake,” Griffin attributed the speculation to Trump’s own apprehensions and his circle of advisors, suggesting that they were unnerved by DeSantis’ impactful performance in the debate and the ensuing wave of momentum. Griffin reasserted DeSantis’ position as a strong contender in a two-man race and expressed the campaign’s commitment to securing victory in the presidential primary.

Furthermore, Griffin took a direct jab at the Trump campaign, advising them to focus on more pertinent matters rather than disseminating unverified claims from their base in New Jersey. He urged the Trump team to channel their efforts towards propelling their candidate to the campaign trail in Iowa and ensuring his participation in upcoming debates.

Rumors are strong in political circles that Ron DeSanctimonious, whose Presidential run is a shambles, and whose poll numbers have absolutely crashed, putting him 3rd and 4th in some states, will be dropping out of the Presidential race in order to run, in Florida, against Rick Scott for Senate. Now that’s an interesting one, isn’t it?
