More Details on TNA’s Return to Universal Studios, Dixie Carter Comments on Future Plans

The Orlando Sentinel has an article up looking at TNA Impact Wrestling’s return to Universal Studios. It notes that admission will still be free for the Soundtage 19 tapings on November 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The tapings begin at 7pm EST.

Universal Orlando spokeman Tom Schroder said in a release:

“TNA Wrestling is a longtime friend of ours, and we’re excited they are back. Our guests love being able to attend the shows and this is a perfect fit for our production business.”

Dixie Carter also commented:

“The way that people view television has dramatically shifted, and it is incumbent upon us to deliver a modern, revolutionized way of watching professional wrestling to our fans. In making Orlando’s Universal Studios our programming hub, we have the powerful combination of state-of-the art production facilities and incredible soundstages that will make it easier for us to launch this new production-intensive initiative. We will also be working with Universal to develop new and creative ways for park guests and fans from around the world to experience a unique TNA attraction.”

The article confirms that TNA will look to occasionally tape Impact from other cities. It also confirms that Universal will be the primary training facility for TNA wrestlers.
