Sean “Diddy” Combs finds himself entangled in yet another legal dispute, this time facing a lawsuit from Raven Production Management Group, LLC, alongside Phantom Labs, Inc. and tour manager Matthew Lupton. The lawsuit, filed in New York, alleges misrepresentation of contractual relationships and financial arrangements related to a scrapped art project involving a red translucent cube for Diddy.
According to legal documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Raven claims that PHNTM and Lupton misrepresented their ties with Diddy and the financial arrangements when they hired Raven in August 2023 for the construction and installation of the said cube.
The lawsuit states that PHNTM, through Lupton, assured Raven of Diddy’s signed contract and impending funds, leading Raven to commence work based on modified specifications. However, on September 7, PHNTM instructed Raven to halt work, citing Diddy’s postponement of the project to an unknown future date.
Despite assurances of payment upon receipt of funds from Diddy, Raven alleges that PHNTM failed to fulfill its financial obligations. Efforts to obtain payment, including a proposed biweekly payment plan in November 2023, yielded no results.
Raven asserts breach of contract by PHNTM, leading to damages amounting to at least $200,000, excluding fees and interest. The company demands a jury trial and seeks damages for breach of contract, fraudulent inducement, tortious interference with contract and business relations, deceptive trade practices, unjust enrichment, and quantum meruit.
In addition to damages, Raven requests the defendants to cover the costs, expenses, and attorney fees associated with the legal proceedings.
