Donald Trump Attacks ‘Fraudsters’ In Court Room

It has come to light via Media Ite that former President Donald Trump recently had quite a day in court for his civil fraud trial in New York City. He has already been found liable for inflating his assets. However, that didn’t stop him from offering an unyieldingly sunny assessment of his performance.

When Trump took the stand on Monday, chaos ensued as Judge Arthur Engoron tried his best to get Trump’s legal team to “control” their client and stop giving political speeches and hurling insults at New York Attorney General Letitia James and Engoron instead of answering questions.

And when asked by reporters as he left the court later on Monday how it went, Trump reported that it went “very well.”

Normally, having a judge threaten to throw a defendant out of court for not following judge’s orders would constitute a “less than great” day for the defense, but Donald Trump is not a normal defendant, nor is this a normal trial. Trump is the GOP frontrunner for president in 2024, and all these court dates clogging up his schedule mean that he has to squeeze his campaign speeches into his witness testimony.

He continued making political points, and painting himself as the victim of fraud (even though he was found liable for defrauding people):

This is a case that should have never been brought. It’s a case that should be dismissed immediately. The fraud was on behalf of the court. The court was the fraudster in this case. They made references to assets that were very valuable, and they said, uh, they had no idea. They had no idea what the numbers were when they said $18 million for Mar-A-Lago, has 50 to 100 times that amount by any estimation. It’s a terrible thing that’s happened here. We’re taking days and days and weeks and weeks and it goes on. And then you look at the outside world and what’s happening. But of course, they’re getting their wish because I don’t have to be here for the most part. But I certainly do have to be here because I want to be here because it’s a scam. And this is a case that should have never been brought, and it’s a case that now should be dismissed.
