Drew McIntyre deserves more money! On the latest episode of the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Preview” on YouTube, host Billi Bhatti and former WWE writer Vince Russo, discussed Drew McIntyre is seemingly not paid well despite being WWE Champion. Wrestling-Edge transcribed Bhatti’s comments below.
Bhatti: If you actually go and do some research on a situation and you’re in that position you will find that people aren’t being paid what they are meant to be paid anyway. For example, Drew McIntyre is being paid no where near any other champion in WWE history.
In other news concerning the current WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre recently commented on testing positive for COvID-19 during a new interview with The Arash Markazi Show.
McIntyre said: “I mean, my first thoughts were honestly, this is why we do the test. Throughout the whole pandemic from the beginning, we’ve never stopped running right up until now. WWE has been testing everybody before you’re even allowed to enter the building. I’m so glad that they caught and I never knew I had it…I’ve been following the strict safety guidelines. The general was wearing a mask and social distancing, but I’ve taken it to another level where my wife and I don’t leave the house essentially, aside to go to work, and I still managed to catch it.”
McIntyre also mentioned: “Everyone out there, just keep wearing those masks, they’ll get you, so you got to really try because it is out there. So glad we caught it before I was able to pass it to my fellow roster members who might have passed it to somebody in the high-risk category. I’m just very happy that WWE has been testing as much as they have. I’m very fortunate to be asymptomatic.”
