After their last man standing match at WrestleMania 36, Edge will now face Randy Orton in a regular one on one match at the upcoming Backlash PPV.
WWE is promoting this bout as the greatest wrestling match ever and this tag line has been a topic of discussion among the wrestling fans recently.
During a recent interview with ESPN, Edge also revealed his reaction to hearing it for the first time, saying that he laughed it off because he thought it was not serious:
“I just laughed because I didn’t think it was serious. Then I realized fairly quickly it was. Then my reaction was, is this wise, because anytime you say something the greatest ever beforehand, you’re setting yourself up for failure, and I don’t ever want to think that way.”
The Backlash PPV will be taking place on Sunday, June 14 from the Performance Center and it’s expected to feature numerous big bouts including the one between the two WWE veterans.
