According to Ringside News, Kimber Lee, formerly known as Abbey Laith during her time in NXT, is currently embroiled in an ongoing legal situation that has seen a rescheduling of her pre-trial conference. Originally set for January 3rd, 2023, the conference is now slated for February 6th at 8:30 AM, with Judge Angela Cowden presiding. The reason behind the rescheduling is the need to arrange depositions.
The charges against Kimber Lee include DUI, Resisting an Officer with Violence, and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. The incident leading to these charges occurred on May 11th in Sebring, Florida. Kimber Lee, whose legal name is Frankele, entered a not guilty plea to all charges on July 7th, waiving her right to a speedy trial and requesting a public defender due to financial constraints.
The police report from the May incident details Officer P.J. Roberts observing a gray Kia Soul facing the wrong direction on U.S. 27, obstructing traffic despite a green light. Roberts initiated a traffic stop, and the vehicle, identified as Kimber Lee’s, made evasive maneuvers before eventually stopping in a shopping center parking lot. The report notes the vehicle’s erratic movements, including veering onto the shoulder and nearly colliding with a guardrail. The legal proceedings are ongoing, and Kimber Lee awaits resolution of her case in the coming pre-trial conference.
The pre-trial hearing for former #WWE Star Kimber Lee has been rescheduled for February 6, 2024.
The delay was requested to allow for additional time to conduct depositions.
