Fedor Emelianenko Daughter Was Hospitalized After Attack

Fedor Emelianenko recently revealed that he will be returning to the world of MMA. Fabricio Werdum is one of the fighters who has started actively calling out Fedor for a fight against him. It seems the trend of legendary people returning to a sport is not just limited to the world of professional wrestling. Fedor Emelianenko might also be leaving Bellator for a big name.

Fedor Emelianenko’s daughter, Maria Emelianenko, was attacked at the age of 16 back in 2016. Reports stated that she was attacked while returning from school. The attacks were believed to have been carried out by people in response to Fedor Emelianenko’s criticism of the culture of child MMA fights. She was soon hospitalized after the pain did not stop. Here is what Emelianenko said about child MMA fights:

“What happened at the tournament in Grozny is unacceptable and, moreover, cannot be justified. There were little ones, 8 years old, punching each other in front of happy adults. Is it really so important for you to organize a spectacle at the cost of children’s health?!”

Fedor Emelianenko also previously commented on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s controversial comments regarding ring girls, where he stated that they are useless and don’t belong in the UFC.

“Ring girls are the most unnecessary people in mma, what function to they bring? You turn on the tv and you see it’s the second, why are they walking there”
