Former UFC fighter dies after sustaining injuries at Boxing match

In an unsettling news today, it has been revealed that former UFC fighter Tim Hague passed away this Sunday following the injuries he sustained during a recent boxing match.

 


 

The news was revealed by Hague’s sister Jackie Neil who sent out the following family statement after his death on Sunday:

“It is with incredible sadness, sorrow and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away today, He was surrounded by family, listening to his favourite songs. We will miss him with so greatly”

The mentioned boxing match happened last Friday at Shaw Conference Centre. Tim lost the bout by knockout to Adam Braidwood, in the event which was promoted by KO Boxing. After the match, several sites had reported that he was in serious condition.

Hague was a former UFC Fighter who made his debut back in 2009. He won his debut match against Pat Barry at UFC 98 but lost his next three fights. His last UFC fight was at Fight Night 23 back in January 23rd, 2011. He finished his Ultimate Fighting Championship career with a record of 1-4.
