Guiliani Sues Biden After Trump Accusation

According to Law and Crime, Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and lawyer for former President Donald Trump, announced a “major announcement” with “far-reaching implications for justice and the rule of law” outside the Merrimack County Superior Court in Concord, New Hampshire. Giuliani’s announcement was his intention to sue President Joe Biden for calling him a “Russian pawn” to Donald Trump during a 2020 debate.

During the 2020 debate, President Biden responded to Giuliani’s claims about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop and foreign corruption by stating, “His buddy Rudy Giuliani. He’s being used as a Russian pawn. He’s being fed information that is Russian — that is not true.”

Giuliani, who is facing multiple legal challenges, claimed that President Biden’s remarks had damaged his law practice and consulting business by falsely branding him as “a Russian pawn” and a “facilitator of Russian disinformation.” He asserted that Biden’s statements amounted to libel and defamation per se.

Giuliani chose to bring the case in New Hampshire, and although the livestream of his announcement was cut off while his lawyer was explaining the reasons for this choice, it was reported that Giuliani’s legal team views suing in New Hampshire as advantageous to their efforts to seek damages.

It’s worth noting that Giuliani referred to Robert Costello as his lawyer during the press conference, even though Costello is currently suing Giuliani for unpaid legal bills.

His own national security adviser told him that what is happening with his buddy — I shouldn’t — actually, I will.

As a result of Joe Biden’s lies people have died,” Giuliani said, before calling the president a “pathological liar.

He called me a Russian operative. That is a lie, that is false,” Giuliani said, before adding: “That’s what’s called libel, defamation per se.”
