Hunter Biden Suffers Massive Loss In Court

A federal judge in California has rejected Hunter Biden’s attempt to dismiss the tax charges against him, allowing the criminal case against the president’s son to proceed.

Hunter Biden is facing three felony charges and six misdemeanor charges related to tax evasion, filing a false return, and failure to pay taxes between 2016 and 2019. His lawyers argued last month that the case was politically motivated and compromised by two IRS agents who later became whistleblowers.

Biden filed eight separate motions to dismiss the charges, citing various legal grounds, all of which were denied.

Judge Mark Scarsi concluded that the case was not politically motivated, dismissing Biden’s main argument due to lack of evidence.

“The motion is remarkable in that it fails to include a single declaration, exhibit, or request for judicial notice,” Judge Scarsi wrote. “Instead, Defendant cites portions of various Internet news sources, social media posts, and legal blogs. These citations, however, are not evidence.”

Scarsi also rejected Biden’s claim of selective and vindictive prosecution, stating that there was no clear evidence of discriminatory effect or purpose.

On top of that, Biden’s attorneys argued that the case should be dismissed due to “outrageous government conduct,” pointing to two former IRS agents who later testified in a House GOP investigation into Biden. However, Scarsi dismissed this argument, stating that there was no precedent for dismissing a case based on “outrageous government conduct” and that Biden’s allegations did not meet the high standard for dismissal.
