After a very long hiatus from WWE television following his feud with Braun Strowman last year, Shane McMahon returned during the Men’s Royal Rumble match this year where he had a decent performance as well. He stood toe-to-toe with numerous WWE Superstars including the likes of Matt Riddle and others. This was not met with positive reception at all backstage in WWE.
According to Ringside News, Shane McMahon was scheduled to be on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. It was not revealed why Shane McMahon was absent, but plans for him have changed. In an update from the site, it seems WWE has fired Shane McMahon after all the heat he got after producing the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
It was said Vince McMahon had no choice in the matter. As of now, it seems safe to say that ‘The Best in the World’ Shane McMahon will not be at the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event. That live event is scheduled to take place on February 19, 2022, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event will air on pay-per-view worldwide and will be available to stream through Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network internationally.
Vince had no choice. Shane created chaos, had everyone in an uproar, pissed off everyone in the Rumble, openly buried other producers, and was changing things that Vince wanted. Vince had no other choice but to send him home.
Shane McMahon is eligible to go to AEW now that he’s a free agent, with fans speculating about match ideas. This week’s edition of AEW Dynmyite takes place from Chicago, Illinois at the Wintrust Arena and is boasting the very first one-on-one matchup between MJF and CM Punk. Other matches announced for this week’s show include Malakai Black & Brody King vs. PAC & Penta El Zero Miedo as well as Ruby Soho Vs Nyla Rose

There is a lot going on with Shane McMahon. He is now off RAW, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania.
A tenured source within the company told us that Vince McMahon is also "quietly using the term 'let go'" to describe the situation… Shane McMahon has been "let go."
