However, some commenters on social media were quick to bring up the recent developments surrounding Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. One individual commented, “Daddy’s going to Prison…can’t wait until an investigation is opened on the Saudi payoff! Daddy is listed on Epstein’s flight logs.” Another wrote, “America’s Crime Family,” while a third accused the Trump family of corruption.
Despite the criticism, there were also positive comments from people who focused on Ivanka’s family enjoying the vacation. Donald Trump’s name appeared four times in the documents, with mentions in a May 2016 deposition from one of Epstein’s alleged victims, Johanna Sjoberg. The documents detailed a trip where Epstein reportedly suggested calling Trump to visit a casino.
Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, also weighed in on the situation, claiming that Donald was very close to Epstein in the ’90s. The Trump campaign spokesperson dismissed Mary Trump’s claims, along with the assertions in the Epstein documents, as “thoroughly debunked.”
