Ivanka Trump was in Manhattan this week, but she is not expected to attend her father’s trial regarding alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. According to a source close to the Trump family, Ivanka has been in contact with her father and continues to support him, but she and Melania Trump will not be present in court. The trial is seen as an uncomfortable situation for the Trump women.
Said a Trumpworld insider: “I’m told Ivanka has spoken to her father over the last few days and remains as supportive as ever.”
But “one thing that is for certain is that she will not be in court for the Stormy Daniels trial, and neither will Melania. The trial remains embarrassing for all the Trump women.”
While jurors were being selected in a downtown courthouse, Ivanka was seen leaving the upscale Aman hotel in Midtown with a smile. She has been living in Miami with her family and previously announced her decision to step back from politics.
An upcoming book by Variety editor Ramin Setoodeh, titled “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” reveals that Donald Trump once wanted Ivanka to replace him as the host of NBC’s “The Apprentice” when he left the show. However, the network ultimately chose Arnold Schwarzenegger for the role.
