J-Lo Was Forced To Call Off Affleck Wedding Because…

Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about her past relationship with Ben Affleck, shedding light on why their previous romance didn’t stand the test of time. Despite calling off their wedding in 2003, Lopez revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 that they remained together for a few more months before ultimately parting ways in 2004. Reflecting on this period, Lopez expressed how doubts crept into their relationship, causing uncertainty about its future trajectory. Despite her desire to spend her life with Affleck, she admitted that the uncertainty surrounding their relationship instilled fear in her.

Moreover, Lopez acknowledged that despite their deep affection for each other, they lacked the maturity needed to sustain their relationship at the time, with her in her early 30s and Affleck in his late 20s. This realization came after their breakup, leading them to pursue different paths in their personal lives. Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony and welcomed twins, while Affleck tied the knot with Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children.

“Because what it did was it casted doubt in me, and both of us, about what our relationship was and where it was going, I think,” she said. Lopez also said that, “I knew in my heart that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life, I knew that. But it didn’t feel like we were going to make it. And so, it scared me.”

However, fate had other plans for Lopez and Affleck as they found their way back to each other in 2021 and rekindled their romance. The couple exchanged vows in a secret ceremony in 2022, marking a new chapter in their love story. Lopez expressed gratitude for their respective journeys, which included other relationships and families, before they ultimately reunited and made it work this time around.

Lopez dedicated her album “This is Me… Now” to Affleck, describing him as her greatest inspiration. The album reflects on her life and journey of love, culminating in her reunion with Affleck. Emotionally, Lopez thanked Affleck for his love and support, acknowledging the family they’ve created together and expressing her profound love for him during the premiere of her film, where she publicly professed her appreciation and affection for her devoted husband.
