Jeff Hardy’s TNA Contract Nearing it’s end, is a WWE Return Possible?

According to a report via The Wrestling Observer, Jeff Hardy’s TNA contract is set to expire in February, and he has been telling people he would like to return to WWE if they’ll have him.

I don’t know man, I always hate seeing my old favourites being beat easily over mid cards of today… I still believe Jeff would be a terrible choice to bring back (without even mentioning his latest actions) and to throw both of them in the hat and return as the roster/format of today is… No thanks haha. I just don’t see that being a positive move in anyone favour.

  • The Killswitch

They should be booked a bit stronger, I agree. But you could also argue that younger guys have more gas left in the tank than older veterans. I could see it either way.

While I think that’s a good thing to do, and sure they are “kinda” doing it now… The way its done doesn’t bring in the sway that the Dudleys should hold.
You said it yourself, they are the most decorated tag team, yet it seems right now in the current roster they aren’t a threat at all. And that’s the problem I have with them being there. To really help put over young guys, the Dudleys should look like a challenge… something difficult to overcome, something worth conquering… And right now they simply don’t seem like the 13 time or whatever champs they are advertised as. They should be hugely dominant in WWE so they can elevate the people they feud with to the next level… To really help put talent over, you need to be a big enough hurdle in the first place, just telling people they are “so good” is vastly different from showing them how destructive the Dudleys can be. They wouldn’t even need to squash anyone in the process either… but we both know how terrible creative are in this day and age.

  • The Killswitch

I disagree, I think if I were the Dudleys I would want to put over talent and help make the tag division the best it can be. I think that’s exactly what they’re doing right now. They’re probably the most decorated tag team in the business; they really have nothing to prove.

  • The Killswitch

I think Enzo and Cass have only benefited by going over the Dudleys. Sure, Devon and Bubba haven’t really done anything for themselves, but that’s only because they’ve already accomplished so much. Who have they really pushed out of the spotlight? The only ones that come to mind are the Usos, but they can’t really feud for the tag titles with New Day because they’re both babyface teams.

But then you have the ego of the Dudleys, basically declaring that they are the reason the rise of “The New Day” was so good. Their current run has been so frustrating to me, the Tag division was getting so good and full and I felt like their return just pushed out other teams of the spot light. The whole “we refuse to use tables one week and then using them the next without any mention of it anymore… and then the whole Enzo/Cass v Dudleys was a joke of a feud, if you can even call it that lasting what, 3 weeks max?
And honestly, if I hear one more Bubba call out of a move before it happens so loudly again, I’m going to bash my hear against a wall.
Even with brand split, there is no room for them.

  • The Killswitch

I could see them wrestling at a similar capacity as the Dudleys, maybe even less. It’s a good move to hire older talent that have returned to the WWE because it gives them Hall of Fame eligibility, and it allows them to work with and teach the younger talent. Plus, I’m sure it’s a nice way to bring their careers full circle to a company where they’re highly recognized. Some say it’s a money grab, but I think a lot of fans would be excited.

Considering Lesnar got pinged on a UFC drug test fail and still got “drafted” number 5 I think you’re right.

Though Lesnar makes more money for them than Hardy would. (and Roman “comes back from wellness suspension to a PPV title match” Reigns)

  • Armitage Soulshroude

He makes ratings… that’s all they care about these days.

  • Solid

    haha.

Seriously though, would he even pass the WWE physical let alone a wellness test/s?

  • The Killswitch

That’s impossible. We all watched him get deleted.
