Jeff Jarrett Taking Some Personal Time Off from TNA, Misses PPV & iMPACT

Source: PWInsider

– Jeff Jarrett was not at last night’s Victory Road pay-per-view and will not be at this week’s iMPACT tapings in Orlando. One TNA source says Jeff is taking some “personal time off” and apparently this is what TNA front-office employees were told at a company meeting last week.

Jarrett was scheduled to be involved in some pre-taped segments at the pay-per-view last night and had been building a program with Eric Young on TV so this hiatus was not planned. In Jarrett’s absence, several agents and the rest of the creative team ran the backstage aspect of last night’s show.

As noted earlier this past weekend, a man claiming to work for TNA called into the Bubba the Love Sponge show last week and claimed that Jarrett was now involved with Karen Angle. The caller was repeating an oft-cited rumor that had been going around the TNA locker room for months now. One would think that the news of Jarrett taking time off now may be related to the Karen Angle talk.

Jarrett’s absence was a large topic of discussion among the wrestlers at last night’s pay-per-view. This was probably the first pay-per-view in company history that Jarrett wasn’t at. Currently there is no word on when Jeff will return to his duties.
