Missy Hyatt disclosed that she had a romantic relationship with Jim Ross a couple of years following the passing of his wife, Jan Ross, in 2017. Jan tragically lost her life due to a traumatic brain injury sustained in a vehicular accident while riding her Vespa in Norman, OK. The incident left her with multiple skull fractures, ultimately leading to her passing a few days later. Jim Ross has been open about the profound impact of this loss, maintaining the memory of their long and happy marriage.
During an appearance on Cafe de René, Hyatt was asked about the possibility of spending a night with Ross and giving him a chance to “rock it up.” In response, she revealed that she and Ross dated in 2019, approximately two years after his wife’s passing. Although she did not specify the duration of their relationship, she acknowledged that they were together for about two years.
“Honestly, me and Jim dated for a couple of years, about two years after his wife passed away, we dated for about two years. So, yeah, I’ve rocked his world. He’s rocked my world.”
Hyatt and Ross had previously co-hosted a UWF show, and in her 2001 book, she expressed gratitude to him for his support and mentorship.
