Joe Biden Reveals Truth After Hunter’s Indictment

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) defended President Joe Biden, asserting that his son Hunter Biden has “done nothing wrong.”

During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday, fill-in moderator Peter Alexander confronted the ranking House Democrat with President Biden’s statement from 2023, wherein he declared that Hunter Biden did “nothing wrong.” Alexander also referenced a Wall St. Journal editorial board piece criticizing the president’s comment, arguing that it undermined the Justice Department’s indictment of Hunter Biden on a dozen gun and tax charges.

“That’s a highly inappropriate message from the president,” the Journal’s editorial board wrote. “He’s essentially telling prosecutors that they are wrong to bring an indictment because Hunter is innocent of any criminal behavior.”

“Why was it appropriate for President Biden to publicly comment on his son’s case?” Alexander asked, pressing Jeffries.

In response, Jeffries defended the president’s remarks, stating, “President Biden commented as a loving father, as I would hope any loving father would do.”

Leader Jeffries further invoked former President Donald Trump’s name in his assessment of the case against Hunter Biden, whose federal gun charges trial begins Monday.

“Hunter Biden, of course, is entitled, as was Donald Trump, to the presumption of innocence and to a trial by a jury of his peers,” Jeffries said. “And this Justice Department is going to proceed in that fashion. Present the facts in the law, and then we’ll all have to wait for a determination that is made by a jury as to Hunter Biden’s guilt or innocence.”
