John Cena accused of stealing storyline ideas

John Cena was the top star in WWE for over a decade and had a lot of responsibilities. However, it seems he has been accused of stealing storyline ideas.

Former WWE Superstar Tyler Reks spoke to The Lewis Nicholls Show, where he did not have anything good to say about Cena, including how he was forced to change his finisher because of Cena.

Reks talked about partnering with Curt Hawkins who had an interesting idea for a storyline. The idea would see the two get “fired” on the show and then try ways to get into the arena in order to get attention. Reks revealed Hawkins was on good terms with Cena and told him about the idea.

Tyler Reks said that he and Curt Hawkings pitched an idea to Cena who was very supportive and encouraged them to record the promos onto a DVD, saying he would show it to Vince Mcmahon. However, the very next week, the same idea was used with Miz and Truth instead. Cena at first claimed that it was a different idea, but as the storyline progressed it ended up being nearly identical. When they confronted Cena after that, Reks claimed that he admitted to having stolen the idea and pitched it to Vince McMahon instead.

Tyler revealed he was very angry for having his opportunities stolen. However, he has now learned from experience and holds no grudges against Cena as “he’s the top guy for a reason and if that’s how things were handled then more power to him, man.”
