In an interview with ESPN, John Cena spoke about various topics including a rumored show down with the Undertaker. Below was his response in typical corporate fashion:
“Undertaker certainly is a cornerstone of WWE, and just as I say to myself that I really would have liked to been able to get to know and certainly get in the ring with Andre the Giant, just because of all the respect and folklore that went around with Andre, I think The Undertaker has that same sort of respect and folklore around him. If you’re asking if I’d want to be in a high-profile match with one of the most legendary superstars in the industry, my answer is yes.”
John Cena returned to SmackDown Live yesterday after a couple of months out and made his intentions clear:
“What am I doing here tonight? I’m setting the record straight. I’m not done. I’m not leaving. And I’m sick of this ‘New Era’ BS. It ain’t the ‘New Era,’ it’s the ‘My Time is Now Era.’ Never give up means that when you get knocked down like I did this year you don’t stay down, you get up, you fire up, and you kick ass.”
