Kari Lake Makes Violent Threat Before Trump Arrest

According to Mediate, during a speech at the Georgia Republican Party convention, Republican politician and commentator Kari Lake made a bold statement, declaring that anyone seeking to prosecute former President Donald Trump would have to face her and the 75 million Americans who support him. Lake, known for her vocal support of Trump, also issued a warning that many of these supporters were “card-carrying members” of the National Rifle Association (NRA).

In her address, Lake specifically addressed Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, and President Joe Biden, along with the journalists in attendance. She emphasized that if they intended to go after President Trump, they would have to go through her and the millions who shared her stance. The audience responded with cheers as Lake proclaimed that a significant number of these Americans were proud members of the NRA. She clarified that her statement was not a threat but rather a “public service announcement.”

Lake reaffirmed her stance in a Twitter post, openly expressing that she meant every word she said. Her statements came in the context of the Department of Justice unsealing an indictment against Trump, which consisted of 37 criminal counts related to his handling of classified documents retained from his presidency. The indictment outlined that these documents contained sensitive information concerning defense and weapons capabilities, US nuclear programs, potential vulnerabilities, and plans for retaliation against foreign attacks.

I have a message tonight for Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith, and Joe Biden,” said Lake during a speech at the Georgia Republican Party convention, following news of Trump’s indictment. “And the guys back there in the fake news media, you should listen up as well, this one’s for you.”

She then warned, “If you wanna get to President Trump, you’re gonna have to go through me, and you’re gonna have to go through 75 million Americans just like me.”

“And I’m gonna tell you, most of us are card-carrying members of the NRA,” Lake continued, as the audience cheered. “That’s not a threat, that’s a public service announcement.”

Lake’s prominent role at the Georgia Republican Party convention was a result of former Vice President Mike Pence withdrawing as the keynote speaker just days before the event. Lake, a fervent Trump supporter, had previously been considered as a potential running mate for Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
