Brett Lauderdale has a long-term association with the current WWE Chairwoman and Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon. The two know each other and working with each other could be a game-changer for wrestling. GCW is all about brutality while WWE is a PG product. The PG section helps every person watch the show without any worries about profanity or anything that would involve blood.
An unintentional cut is something off-hand as the business thrives on attacking each other. It leads to moves going wrong and people getting stretchered out. We saw it happen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. “Hangman” Adam Page was taken out after his AEW Dynamite match with AEW Champion Jon Moxley. WWE and GCW coming together seem difficult, but wrestling has seen some exceptional things happen. It would be interesting to see what happens next.
Dave Meltzer noted on this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that something is in the works. He noted:
This promotion has something going on with WWE since Joey Janela not only was plugging for people to watch Raw and also told everyone on the roster to do the same and promote Raw this week.
