Kevin Costner Melts Down After Yellowstone Firing

Kevin Costner, the star actor of the hit western series “Yellowstone,” reportedly might not return to the show until he is satisfied with the ending of his character, John Dutton’s, storyline. Paramount Network recently announced that the show was coming to an end after five seasons, with a sequel series set to launch in December, potentially led by Matthew McConaughey. However, this new issue surrounding Costner’s return is causing chaos.

According to Puck News, Costner “won’t commit to returning until he finds out and is comfortable with how his John Dutton character is written out of the franchise.” This news has left fans frustrated, as they have invested five years of their lives into the show and are desperate to see how the story of the Dutton family and their ranch will end.

It is widely believed that several major characters will move over to the sequel series, which could impact the conclusion of the current show. Despite this, Costner is reportedly seeking a say in how his character is written out, which has led to criticism from some fans who argue that he is simply an employee and should not be dictating the show’s ending.

While Costner is a highly-paid employee, making $1.2 million per episode, it is ultimately up to the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, to shape the ending. Fans are hoping for an epic conclusion to the show that does justice to the time, energy, and passion they have invested in it. Sheridan should give fans the ending they deserve and then transition to the McConaughey-led sequel without ruining the show’s legacy.
