It was recently confirmed that former footballer Rob Gronkowski has signed with WWE and he is set to make an appearance at WrestleMania this year.
WWE Hall Of Famer Lita recently appeared on ESPN’s late-night show Now or Never where she talked about other sports personalities crossing over with WWE:
“I love seeing that small percentage of people that cross over because being a professional athlete you’re so focused and you’re not thinking about the charisma and the stuff that goes into being a wrestler,”
The former WWE star then discussed Gronkowski’s signing with the company and said that the former NFL player has a good shot of making it into the company:
“But you see Gronk and Mojo together, who also has that larger than life personality. You might not know all the moves, you might not know all the ins and outs but there’s no denying that charisma and that personality, he has the personality. He has the raw tools, the charisma, the athleticism. It’s now about listening and figuring out how to make this work. I think he has a good shot though.”
