Current AEW Star and former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho is no doubt one of the most accomplished and popular pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He has competed in several promotions such as WCW, WWE, ECW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and AEW among others. Chris Jericho also previously dropped a major return bombshell.
Chris Jericho also competed in quite a few matches in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, starting from his IWGP United States Championship against Kenny Omega back in 2018 to his matches for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship with Tetsuya Naito. He also squared off against Hiroshi Tanahashi back in 2020.
During his time in WWE back from 2016 to 2017, one of the major storylines at that time was certainly Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens’ angle that fans simply could not get enough of. The two would split up during the Festival of Friendship segment on an episode of Monday Night RAW, where Kevin Owens betrayed Chris Jericho. The segment happened on February 13th, 2017 in what was supposed to be a celebration of the duo’s bond. The festival had Jericho all out – as he normally does. Complete with Las Vegas-style showgirls and lavish gifts such as a painting entitled ‘The Creation of Kevin’, a magician and a statue valued over seven-thousand dollars – this was surely one of Chris Jericho’s best.
There would be, one more gift, being from Kevin Owens – which was a new “list”. However while Chris Jericho thought this was a brand new “List of Jericho” – it ended up being “The List of KO” as the list had Jericho’s name on it and Owens’ attacked his partner, ending their friendship – for good.
Kevin Owens recently took to Twitter and changed his profile picture to that of the Festival of Friendship segment when Chris Jericho finds out Owens has betrayed him. Chris Jericho recently took to Twitter and commented on the profile picture change, as he hinted at coming back to WWE to feud with Kevin Owens once again.
I haven’t forgotten Owens….you never know when you’ll see me again.
