Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She Has Cheating Evidence Before Trump…

Controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green asserted to MAGA influencer Steve Bannon on Thursday that she possesses “proof” indicating that votes for Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election in Georgia were “lost in the mail.”

“In 2020, when absentee ballot voting was at its highest… President Trump got on the phone with our secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, and said, ‘can you find the votes? Where are they?’ He was basically looking for ballots, and these ballots have been lost in the mail,” Greene claimed, referencing Trump’s controversial call pressuring Georgia election officials to overturn the state’s result.

“There was nothing wrong with what President Trump said. As a matter of fact, I think he’ll be vindicated easily by a lot of the work that I’m doing and the proof that I’ll be showing pretty soon,” Greene asserted in a clip shared online by Aaron Rupar.

Greene further stated that she’s investigating the “failures of the post office” regarding absentee ballots and intends to share more details later. Bannon, Trump’s former 2016 campaign manager, expressed skepticism, asking Greene if there were undisclosed issues with mail-in ballots in the Georgia primary.

Greene remained steadfast in her claims, despite courts and audits widely debunking them, asserting that “based on 2022 and 2020, these absentee ballots cannot be trusted because the Post Office is not delivering them.”

However, Greene’s history of promoting baseless conspiracy theories, including suggesting fires in California were caused by Jewish-controlled space lasers and questioning the events of 9/11, casts doubt on her assertions.

Veteran political journalist Dave Weigel offered a fact check of Greene’s claims regarding Trump’s call to Raffensperger, noting, “This is completely backwards. Trump wanted ballots already counted for Biden to be disqualified, until he (Trump) took the lead again.”
