The King of Bros Matt Riddle has been in NXT for a few months now and has managed to rise as a top Superstar on the yellow brand. The former UFC fighter has been feuding with the Undisputed Era recently and it seems like a conclusion might be reached soon.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Matt Riddle is apparently in line for a shot at the NXT Championship. According to Meltzer, whoever wins in the match between Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano in their match at the NXT TakeOver: XXV event on June 1st will defend their title against Riddle at the next TakeOver ie NXT TakeOver: Toronto.
NXT TakeOver: Toronto will take place a night before this year’s SummerSlam and should serve as a great platform for Riddle to main event.
