Melania Trump Accused Of Sad Money Scam

Melania Trump, the wife of former President Donald Trump, appears to be venturing back into the world of non-fungible tokens, despite her previous legal troubles in this realm. On June 29, Melania took to Truth Social to announce the release of her new NFT collection titled “Yearning to Breathe Free,” as reported by Intelligencer. This collection is being marketed as a limited-edition patriotic set of collectibles available through usamemorabilia.com.

For those unfamiliar with NFTs, they are non-fungible tokens, which essentially means they are unique digital assets sold as a form of art. They are often purchased using cryptocurrency, and in the past, people have spent significant sums of money on them, as noted by Forbes Advisor.

This is not Melania’s first foray into the world of NFTs. While she has dabbled in this space before, her most well-known instance was a controversial release in January 2022. She launched the Head of State Collection, a fashion-based NFT drop that fetched approximately $170,000 at auction.

However, some observant online users noticed discrepancies and alleged that either Melania or someone from her team had placed the winning bid to artificially inflate the price of their assets, according to The Chainsaw.

It is worth noting that Melania is not the only high-profile individual to promote NFTs. Many celebrities have engaged in NFT-related activities. However, these digital assets have remained controversial since their inception. In December 2022, a class action lawsuit was filed against celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Jimmy Fallon, who were associated with the Bored Ape NFTs, as reported by CNN. The lawsuit alleged that these celebrities also attempted to manipulate prices in a manner similar to the allegations against Melania.

As Melania ventures into the NFT world once again with her “Yearning to Breathe Free” collection, it remains to be seen how the public will respond and whether any further legal issues will arise from her involvement in this controversial space.
