Melania Trump Replaces ‘Inappropriate’ Donald At…

Former First Lady Melania Trump will throw a fundraiser for a group of LGBTQ Republicans in a rare political appearance on Monday via Conservative Brief.

It has been noted that Trump’s choice to lead the Trump campaign’s outreach to LGBTQ Republicans begs questions regarding why she has decided to speak out on one topic while glaringly lacking in all other events, The New York Sun reported.

Former President Donald Trump has also maintained friendly contacts with other well-known gay conservatives simultaneously, like Richard Grenell, the first out gay man serving in a Cabinet post and acting director of national intelligence under Trump.

Bill White, the former president of the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, has also had ties with Trump and is assisting the Log Cabin Republicans’ endeavor.

A scholar of American history who focuses on first ladies, Katherin Jellison, told the Sun that Melania Trump may spearhead the Log Cabin Republican fundraiser because “she would be more sympathetic than most people in the campaign to speak to LGBTQ issues.”

“I would say that this might be an issue that she personally cares about and if no one else is doing outreach to this group of Republicans and fundraisers then this is something that she would do. Maybe the Trump campaign wants to do outreach to the Log Cabin Republicans and realizes that Trump himself would not be the most appropriate person to do that,” Jellison said.

The purpose of the fundraiser is for the Log Cabin Republicans’ “Road to Victory” plan, which is aimed at turning out votes for Trump and down-ballot Republicans in the 2024 election. Attendees are being asked to donate up to $100,000 to the cause.

Donald Trump spoke publicly in May about Melania as questions swirled about her role in the 2024 race.
