Mike Pence In Legal Trouble With Trump?

The former Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, has been forced to testify concerning conversations he had with his former president Donald J. Trump. This could prove devastating for Trump, if the jury’s ultimately hear what they hope to.

According to a report put forth by CNN, A federal judge decided that former Vice President Mike Pence must testify before a grand jury regarding discussions he had with the former U.S. President Trump prior to January 6, 2021. This is according to various sources in-the-know about the recent federal court ruling.

The judge said – in a ruling that remains under seal – that Pence can still decline to answer questions regarding when he was serving as president of the Senate for the certification of the 2020 presidential election.

The ruling from chief judge James Boasberg of the US District Court in Washington, DC, adds to more than a dozen wins for special counsel Jack Smith forcing witnesses to testify to the grand jury, and is unusual in that it delves into the powers of the vice presidency as well as separation of powers. Pence still has the ability to appeal.

The former vice president said his team is “evaluating the court’s decision,” telling Newsmax’s Greta Van Susteren in an interview Tuesday that “the requirements of my testimony going forward are a subject of our review right now, and I’ll have more to say about that in the days ahead.”
