Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor to become the new NXT Champion at Thursday’s NXT live event at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, MA. This marks Joe’s first reign as NXT Champion.

Balor was reportedly scheduled to be called up to the main roster later this year, but it’s possible that WWE changed their plans for him, and he could be called up to the main roster soon, but that’s not confirmed by any means.
